You’ll want to keep your Categories limited, just as you would the number of file cabinets in your office. However, Tags can be many! For example: This post is in the category Wordpress (which is a sub-category of Blogging) and the tags for this post are: Wordpress, Tutorial, and How To. Creating a category from within an Add New Post page: On the right of the page, there is a box called Categories . At the bottom of that click the link . Type in a category name. If you’d like it to be a main category, leave the Parent Category option alone. If you want the new category to be the child-category (ie. 2nd drawer down in the Hardware file cabinet) then select a parent category from the dropdown list. ...

New Favorite Finds for Megan...As we (quickly!) approach the birth of our beautiful little Megan, I am still finding new favorite things to buy for her and/or in preparation for her. I plan on blogging much more often once she is here, so I thought I'd try to get back in practice by posting a couple of things just for fun. So, here goes! I'm sharing with you my current favs: 1. Packtoozi Days of the Week Packs --These are perfect for any travel situation, or in Megan's case, a few days in the hospital. This set of seven 12"x13" packs are labeled with the seven days of the week, and you can put each day's outfit and accessories in the corresponding day's pack. LOVE IT! The planner in me was overjoyed to find them. They come in green/brown, red/brown, yellow/brown, and blue/brown. Check them out at http://www.packtoozi.com/ . 2. Sophie the Giraffe --Ok, so it doesn't look like much more than a rubber teether toy, but for some reason, all the parenting magazines AND tons of parent testimonies are going crazy over this toy! "They" say that babies just fall in love with Sophie. Since Megan's room has a bit of a giraffe theme, I knew she had to have one (thanks, Momcie!). The best price I've found is on http://www.amazon.com/ . 3. Miracle Blanket --Again, this may be a premature endorsement, but I've been told by more than one friend and family member that these are a must. When I went to order one, I was glad to see that they came in several colors and a few prints. I went with the Pink Camo style. I should really care less about how it looks and more about how it works. We are hoping Miss Megan is a good sleeper, and if this product helps, GREAT. Again, I found the best price on Amazon. 4. I Love You Through and Through --Amazon really should pay me commission. This is the cutest, sweetest (simple) book. I actually purchased mine at our local Borders. I was killing... |

In Wordpress, Categories are like filing cabinets and Tags are like the names on the folders. However, with Wordpress, you can put a post into more than one Category or Tag, unlike the user’s manual for your cable modem which can only physically be in one place at a time.
