Why does my frigidaire stove doesn't work?

Q: I have a frigidaire self cleaning oven with 4 cooktops and 1 of them doesn't work.Can you help please?Any solutions??

A: Lift the stove top and look at the sockets where the elements plug in. If one of them is bad, you'll see it right away. If you have another element the same size, plug the good one into the suspect socket. If it heats up, the element is bad. If it doesn't, the socket or temperature switch is bad. All parts are available at any appliance repair shop. They will need the model and serial numbers which are on a label either under the stove top or on the edge of the oven door.

The height of free standing ranges vary. Is the height of the cooking surface standard? ?

Q: Are the cooktops flush with normal counter height even though the heights listed vary?

A: Standard countertop height is 36", and the cooking surface is at the same level. The cabinets are 34-1/2", and the top is built up to 1-1/2" thick. Hope this helps.
