GE Profile Dshwasher Spray arm - Appliance Repair Forum
I have the above dishwasher. The dishes on the upper rack are not getting clean. Lower rack they are fine. I filed it with water and let it start and opened the door to see if spray arms were moving. Top arm was turning as was the lower arm. Middle arm, under tray, not turning at all. Remove mid spray arm and it seemed clear and water then came out where I took the arm off. Put the arm back on and still no turning. You can however spin the spray arm freely by hand. Any help out there.

GE washer loose basket? - Appliance Repair Forum
How do I diagnose if the bearings on the basket are bad? The basket makes all kinds of noise when spinning, running or not. The basket feels very loose. I can push the center of the basket and then spin it and it seems fine. I read somewhere else it could be the pulley in the back, but everything there it tight. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Anyway to tighten it? I would hate to buy a new washer or spends tons of money on it. Its only 4 years old.

Where can I find info on repairing GE dishwashers?
Q: I've already been to http://www.GEAppliances.com and I've spent two months getting the replacement parts (and $40), but NO instructions came with it and GE is not willing to provide any.
I need to replace parts in the faucet connector on a portable. Not as simple as replacing a washer. It looks like I will be replacing all the moving pieces.

Is there a reset button on GE dishwashers' motor?
Q: My GE dishwasher filled water up but the motor just stopped working. I could hear the humming sound from the motor only . Is there a reset button somewhere ( the one that is similar to the reset button on the garbage disposer) to restart the pump?
A: There really isn't a restet button...sorry..
Depending on how old the dishwasher is, you might have to concider a new one...It sounds like the pump died to me..
From about 95 to about 2002, GE made the dishwasher with the pump, motor, and garbage disposal all in one unit...So if one of those goes out you have to replace the whole assembly...Almost the cost of a new dishwasher...Sorry.. :-(
Before you call the repairman or shop for a new one though, you might try cutting off the electricity to the dishwasher for a while at the breaker...Sometimes, if the problem is in the electronic board, this may fix the problem...Good luck.. :-)

A: If it's anything like the GE Nautilus, forget it. Very noisy & does a poor job at cleaning. I should think a showroom would have a few different brands hooked up so customers can compare them. My experience is the quieter they are, the more expensive they are.
