Whirlpool Dishwasher leak - Appliance Repair ForumWhirlpool Dishwasher is leaking from water inlet assembly on left side of dishwasher.Water is spurting out the vent holes on the sides of gray assembly.I pulled the black filler hose off and checked for any obstructions but all was clear.I ran DW with the hose into a bucket and it had plenty of pressure (almost to much??) Trash Compactor - Appliance Repair ForumThe compactor performs as it should except when it finishes the cycle the motor will not stop running and it starts thumping. I replaced the Top Limit Directional switch but that did not work. If you open the drawer it stops and when you close the drawer it stays stopped. If you push the pedal it will run through the cycle as stated. That didn't seem to help and when I did a load today there were a couple spoon fulls of a dark brown almost black substance that was watery. Any ideas on how to clean this sucker out or if there is something else going on? A: For your Whirlpool dishwasher, there is not a removable filter screen for the customer to clean out so you may have to run it through a cycle to clean it the black substance you found. A: Interesting, I just pulled out the manual for my Whirlpool Gold dishwasher to find the instructions to clean the filter. Mine is looking a little gross, too. They tell you how to clean the outside and the inside, but NOT the filter. However, they do give a number for the Whirlpool Customer Interaction Center which says can provide assistance and answer questions 1-800-253-1301. Guess they are going to get two calls in the same day asking the same question! |
