This WHITNEY DESIGN #2020 replacement ironing board pad and cover is designed as a one piece combined pad and cover to fit a standard 54" ironing board. The cover is made from a 100% cotton canvas material coated with blue silicone. A 4mm cushioned fiber pad is sewn to the cover. The nose of the pad & cover is designed to fit the nose of the ironing board tightly. A sewn bungee cord binding not only simplifies the installation of the pad and cover, it holds it tightly to the top of the board. The first time I used this cover, I went over it with my steam iron (set on 'cotton') to smooth it out. The cover immediately coated the mirror surface on the bottom of my iron with blue sticky stuff. I spent the next half hour cleaning it off with vinegar, since water wouldn't do the job. Then I fished my old cover out of the trash can and threw the new blue one in.

I'm giving this ironing board cover 5 stars because it does the job and has those nice tabs underneath that keep it snug on the ironing board. However I ordered one with a hydrangea print and got this one, "Impressions", which is fine with me, but if you really care about the print that you get I don't know if this is the place to order it.

I don't think anyone truly enjoys ironing, but this is such a nice cover, that I'm thinking about enjoying it. This is a high quality, tightly woven white fabric, with bright and soothing blossoms on it. It is water resistant, and wipes clean very easily. Additionally, it secures to the ironing board with velcro straps on the underside, thus eliminating the highly annoying hanging tightening cords.
