Damaged and Disappointed
I bought this enameled shipwreck throw off iron pan in hopes that it would be high enough quality to last. Unfortunately, I found cracks in the enamel after only two uses of very brighten wear. My stovetop use did not exceed the medium setting and my oven use didn't exceed 300 degrees. I would observe that very gentle handling! I will be returning this and buying a le creuset in hopes of a better result.

Like it superior than Le Creuset
I bought one of these pans recently (retail) for about $70. The first detail I cooked in it was a nice lean pork loin roast. There's just something about cooking in dash iron - everything comes out juicy and delicious. Also this Cuisinart pot has such a nice finish, it cleaned up SO obviously, I barely had to wipe it! I did put a skim of veg oil in the bottom before I added the roast. Anyway, I won't be spending the $$ for Le Creuset enamel cookware any more.

Tedious and cooks well
The enameled performers iron casserole, or dutch oven, is a great addition to any chef's kitchen. It roughly becomes a family heirloom, because the pot will outlast the chef.

The most well known brand is Le Creuset, but those are also the most expensive. I've found this Cuisinart to be very skilful and it's about half the price. Its taken some punishment from me over the past few weeks and performed admirably.

I have a Le Creuset enameled aluminum beasts pot. I can't see a noticeable difference in the quality of their enameling. This bad boy is serious cookware for serious cooking.

In Need of a Trivet or Hot Pad - Conair Instant Heat Curling Iron ...

I don't know what it is about curling irons, but they just don't seem to last. I seem to buy a new one at least every few years, if not more often. Because of that, I resist spending a lot of money on new ones, as I could spend double or triple the money, but it doesn't mean they're going to last any longer. This time I went with the Conair Instant Heat Curling Iron, and truth be told, I think I've used it before, but it wasn't my last one, so it didn't make me rush out and buy it again the next time, so that tells you something. Using it this time, I find that it heats up really well. We all know what the danger is of curling irons that heat up really hot and fast, but after nearly thirty years of curling iron use, I feel like my neck should be immune to that. Besides, with these curling irons with multiple settings via dial, I just always go to the highest one anyway. There's also an added option for Turbo Heat, but I haven't found where that made a lick of difference to use it, although it's supposed to "lock in" the curl. This is just your basic curling iron. Again, there is nothing that stands out about it, but there is something I'm noting using it this time that is making me not want to buy it the next time. I can't get it to stand on my dresser without tipping over. That means it's burning my dresser. I try swiveling and rotating the cord, and that helps a little until I pick it up and use it and put it back down again, then it's right back to burning my dresser. I'm going to need a trivet or hot pad for my dresser. Or maybe I just need to wait until the cord starts to get so twisted it doesn't swivel well.
