Irons On Sale: Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry Iron w/Stainless Steel ...
Product Details Amazon Sales Rank: #225 in Kitchen & Housewares Brand: Panasonic Model: NI-C78SR Dimensions: 5.31" h x 4.31" w x 10.40" l, 3.00 pounds Features 3-way Auto Shut-off for added safety Stainless Steel Soleplate for smooth ironing Automatic Retractable Cord Reel for storage of cord Jet-of-Steam/Self Cleaning for vent cleaning Anti-Calcium System for cleam steam vents Very nice iron - especially for the price I paid on Amazon.com. Has a removable water tank which makes it easier to fill without making a mess. Nice, very polished stainless steel soleplate which glides easily over clothes. Has an anti-calcium system to prevent buildup caused by hard water which can block the steam system. Another nice feature is the power cord retractor - which works very well. I agree with the reviewer who expressed reservations about the detachable water tank -- seems like it's just another moving part that could get worn out. Have been filling irons from a cup for close to 50 years -- and lately have been using one that has a spout on it. I don't see any advantage to messing around with a detachable tank. The biggest drawback to the iron is that the retractable cord (which to me is totally unnecessary, although some might like it) extends from the iron base from the right! Today's irons rarely are designed this way. I'm left-handed, and find myself beating back the cord so it doesn't get in my way. Just for the heck of it, I tried ironing with my right hand, and it's almost as annoying. Panasonic should take into consideration that even in the same household, both right- and left-handed users might need the iron. First, I'm absolutely sold on having a retractable cord. Besides the fact that this iron works very well, the retractable cord is the main reason I've stuck with Panasonic. It makes storing the iron so much easier. I leave my ironing board up, in a spare room, and keep the iron (upright) on the board when I'm not using it. I don't have to worry about...
Irons On Sale: Panasonic NI-L46NR Cordless Steam Iron with ...
Product Details Amazon Sales Rank: #8310 in Kitchen & Housewares Brand: Panasonic Model: NI-L46NR Dimensions: 9.31" h x 11.94" w x 7.00" l, 6.00 pounds Features 1430-watt cordless iron with stainless-steel nonstick soleplate Electronic temperature control; all-temperature steam/dry setting Powerful burst-of-steam option; see-through detachable water tank Charging base; auto safety shut-off; heat-resistant carrying case included Measures 9-1/3 by 12 by 7 inches Well, not my obsession but, I do iron everything that I wear. My wife isn't the one that does it...I do. Anyway, I am a perfectionist and have been searching for the best iron. Well, I have found it in the Panasonic NI-L46NR. First of all cordless is the only way to go. I got my first cordless iron a couple of years ago as a present from my sister and thought this is great and it was for about 2 months, then it started leaking terribly and I tried to deal with it for awhile and finally couldn't take it anymore so into the trash can it went. I went back to a corded iron and was satified with it but that darn cord kept getting in the way. My search began again and found the Panasonic NI-L46NR read a bunch of reviews and thought this is the one. It was very reasonably priced and so I ordered it online thru Amazon.com. I received it within a week after ordering it and couldn't wait to crank it up and see if it was really as good as all of the reviews. It was and it still is!! It heats up very quickly and get extremly hot which in my opinion is one of the big factors in quality ironing. The steam function is the best I have ever used...costant steam when wanted, super powerful steam bursts with a touch of a button. The unit is very light and extremely functional. Cords be gone..Thank you Panasonic!!!

Irons On Sale: Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with ...
Product Details Amazon Sales Rank: #962 in Kitchen & Housewares Color: White/Green Brand: Panasonic Model: NI-S300TR Dimensions: 10.50" h x 4.30" w x 5.20" l, 4.20 pounds Features 1200-watt iron with titanium-coated curved soleplate Adjustable temperature and steam settings; jet-of-steam function Push-button spray mist; 3-way automatic shut-off 6-ounce water tank; rubber-grip handle; retractable cord reel Measures 10-7/16 by 4-5/16 by 5-1/8 inches; 1-year limited warranty Steam out wrinkles quickly and easily with this 1200-watt iron. The unit's titanium-coated curved soleplate provides smooth, gentle gliding, while its temperature ranges from 176 to 392 degrees F to accommodate a variety of different fabrics. The iron's jet-of-steam function delivers a powerful burst of steam to help remove stubborn wrinkles (or to help clean the steam vents), and its push-button spray mist directs extra moisture where it's needed most. The iron also offers adjustable steam settings for heavier fabrics or simple touch-ups, as well as a "dry" setting for no steam output. To ensure safety, its mercury-free electronic sensor automatically shuts off the iron after 10 minutes if left in the upright position and after 60 seconds if left unmoved on its soleplate or if tipped over on its side. Other highlights include a 6-ounce water tank, a large water window, an ergonomic rubber-grip handle, and an automatic retractable cord reel for tidy cord storage. The iron measures 10-7/16 by 4-5/16 by 5-1/8 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty. This is my 3rd iron in 6 months. I have had this iron for about 1 1/2 months so I am still waiting to see if it holds up. So far so good. My first iron was a B&D Digital2030 iron. Lasted 4 months and quit. Handle got hot and iron would turn on to Setting 1 after it was turned off. 2nd iron was a Shark brand. Didn't work from day one. Would only turn on if you unplugged the cord and then replugged. Returned that. So far, this iron is performing great. For a 1200watt iron it produced a lot of steam even without pushing the burst of steam button. I iron all my husband's work/dress shirts and need an iron that is adequate for cotton. The titanium coated soleplate is nice, but I do prefer SS. The tip of the iron is the best I have had so far. It is quite pointed and really gets into tight spaces. I sew quite a lot and this is great for pressing out corners. I purchased the titanium soleplate because of fusibles that I work with and need to be able to remove it. So far so good. The retractable cord is a nice feature although my iron is up and ready all the time. The cord c/b a little longer, but is probably limited because it is retractable. It does work nicely. The base of the iron is not too heavy (as it looks)and stands on the base really well. For the steam it produces, the amount of water it uses is remarkable. You don't need to fill it constantly, and it is fairly easy to fill. Didn't see the need for a removable water resevoir. A word of caution though - the iron needs to go thru several sessions to remove whatever is inside it. There was a slight fragrance the first few times I used it and it did deposit an oily (?)spot which came out easily on my white shirts. It did go away and now is fine. All in all, I recommend this iron. If it doesn't hold up I will come back and update my review. I do not recommend DIGITAL IRONS. I don't think the technology is there yet especially if you sew and leave your iron on a lot.
