Initial setup and first use of the SSP200 are very easy and fool-proof. I was very impressed by this unit after the very first shirt was done.
My only concern is bunching the fabric up between the plates by the hinge. The hot plate is very easy to accidentally brush when doing this.
Otherwise, for anyone wanting that neat, clean, creased appearance, I highly recommend this product.
We had a press made by Singer that finally gave up the ghost after more than 10 years. After a several days of ironing clothes with mixed results & a lot of frustration, we researched presses on Amazon based on customer reviews. We decided on this press and have not been disappointed. The press is ready to use as soon as it’s out of the box. Operation is simple & all but self-explanatory, and it heats up VERY quickly. It is a little smaller than our previous press, but not so small as to be a drawback. Clothes are ready in no time compared to ironing. The press comes with a water spray-bottle if you prefer not to use the steam feature. Definitely worth the money spent!
I use this press for heat transfers and embellishments such as rhinstones and studs (iron on). It is the best sewing related purchase I’ve made in months. Easy to set up, use and store. I’m glad I bought the 200 instead of the 100 for the flexibility of steam if I need it. I’m sure I’ll be thinking of more uses as time goes on–burn out or customized imprinted velvet maybe?

A: i have one from the late 70's went to local B&S dealer he had me bring in the engine took measurements on the shaft etc called B&S they matched me up with a new engine about $500 bucks, saved over half for a new one
To all you color experts out there. How do I chose the right paint color for a room
Q: I have painted probably every room in the house at least two times because when I finish a project, I don't like it. I have spent soooo much money on paint. My style is, well, I'm not sure. Probably Spanish. I like dark wood furniture, wrought iron, leather...I also like simplicity...less is more. After it is all said and done, everything is so dark :( The floor in the living room is dark wood with a light beige sofa and oriental rug with browns and beiges. The walls are also a beige (dark). Everything is so monochromatic in this room. There is a wall that goes from the front door to the back of the house (single story) and passes by the open living room that I mentioned above. This wall is a bright golden yellow. I looks aweful with the dark beigy, tannish, orangy walls in the living room. How do you chose colors to compliment one another without having too much of a color wheel going on.
A: The golden yellow would certainly seem better as a mustard yellow in my opinion. I would do a red, a nice deep red in the living room. I LOVE reds as well as a dark orange. Make sure it is dark or else it won't fit in with your color scheme. I think that since you like the Spanish look, beige definitely needs to go! Maybe even a dark plum color would work for you too!

I never keep my hair any longer than neck length. Long hair does not flatter me.
A: vidal sassoon 1 1/2 inch barrel. It will make big curls or it will flatten all your wavy hair. They make them bigger i think up to 2" barrel. Use a flat iron if u want straight hair.
