re connecting sping in door - Appliance Repair Forum
The spring inside my door seems to be in one piece and I have a diagram of how the inside of the door should look, it shows the spring, but it does not show where it connects to, so I don't know if the part that it connects to is missing. There were no parts laying in the door so I just think it came unhooked, but cannot figure out where to re hook it.

Microwave vent fan inoperative - Appliance Repair Forum
The cooking ventilation cooling fan on the Frigidaire Electrolux "Over the Range" microwave oven just quit (no fan sound as before). This is not the "over the range" fan as it still works. The Microwave still heats/works otherwise but concerned extended cook times will overheat unit so must repair. This looks to be the "F79" fan assy "cooling" with motor, however I have miss diagnosed problems before. I found a schematic for parts breakdown and wiring diagram. Am I on right track? Could it be the control panel? Concerns?

Frigidaire Gallery Frontload Washer - Appliance Repair Forum
We bought a Frigidaire Gallery Front loading Washer model # GLTF1670AS1 and thought it was a new washer in 2007, but after decoding the serial # XC6391580, it was made in 06. And for some reason we never got the owners manual and thanks to the amount of information here I found the Tech-Sheet. About a month ago it started taking unpredictable amounts of time to finish a load from 1 1/2 to three hours and now the timer doesn't cycle past the start filling. If you stay in the basement with it for about an hour and manually advance the timer dial it kind-a works. Plus my dear sweet little wife with the day to day stress of putting up with me, she would lose it on the washer and spin that wash cycle knob like Phil Neekro working a spit-ball, and i fear it's almost imposable to push the selector dial in far enough to rotate to the wash cycle you want. Is there a way to run a self diagnostic using the four system indicator lights on the face panel. If not I am familiar with using the strip circuit diagnostic method and damn it I'm starting with the door switch. And I'm not to proud to beg, if can ask for richappy's help in downloading a copy of my models owners manual. Rich I've pirated ever link you have posted for any Frigidaire model that's within twenty miles of my beast.

how to find a complete set of cooking manual for frigidaire microwave ovens?
Q: this is my first microwave oven. the type is RCMV5088W. the manual book is too general and simple. please give me the best solution or recommendation. thx
A: All microwaves are different and they are all the same. There are basic methods of using your new oven here:

Frigidaire microwave from years ago?
Q: I have a rather old Frigidaire microwave oven that works perfectly fine. I just don't know how to set the clock. I do not have the manual to it and can't seem to locate the serial number to look it up on the Frigidaire's website. Any idea of how to set it. It does have a clock button, but when pressing it nothing happens.
A: press the "clock" button, then put in the time.
press the clock button when your done.
Frigidaire Microwave Oven Problems. Recall?
Q: I have a Frigidaire/Electrolux Microwave Oven. Model # PLMB 186CCB
Manufactured in 10/2003.
About 4 months ago, I was melting some butter and the microwave
started sparking as if metal had been placed in it and turned on. I
immediately opened the oven and then reset the timer and tried again.
Once again, it started that sparking and it was making very loud
"Zapping" noises. I gave up and didn't think about it again until
about 3 weeks later when he same thing happened. I decided to
completely rinse out the inside of the oven and also thooughly wash
the glass rotating dish inside. I didn't have anymore occurances
until 3 days ago when I was heating up some coffee and I had left the
room to give my baby a bottle and when I returned (approximately 30
seconds later) the oven was on fire inside! A hole was burned through
the top of the oven and after contacting Frigidaire, they told me that
my warranty was up but they would give me a 50% rebate on my next
Frigidaire microwave oven.
Thing is, when I asked the service rep about what had happened, his
response to me was "Yes, i've had other calls where the same thing has
happened". So i'm thinking they really should be replacing my
microwave. I mean, if they knew about this sort of thing taking place
(the rep called it "spontaneous interior combustion") shouldn't they
be recalling the oven? Anyone know of someone I can contact regarding
this issue? Frigidaire doesn't give out their email addresses, it's
one of those form pages that you send to them. So i'm just thinking
if this is something that happens, consumers should be aware of it.
Any info would be great. Thanks
A: This type of failure is caused by grease and food particles getting in an area where the microwaves are concentrated such as where the microwaves enter the oven cavity. The buzzing and sparking and yellow light is this dirt burning. There is also some carbonizing of this material as it burns and where this carbon builds up it is more susceptible to arcing with the buzzing and sparking and yellow flashing. If this is not cleaned off there will eventually be more and more arcing and eventually a small fire. This is not considered a great danger as the unit will shut down with excessive heat in the oven cavity and the fire is contained and will not spread and will die out quickly after the shutdown as the material in the oven cavity does not support combustion. This can happen in virtually any brand microwave. Some are more susceptible than others.
