Whirlpool Waste!
DO NOT buy Whirlpool Gold bars appliances! We remodeled our kitchen and bought Whirlpool Gold stovetop, oven & microwave combo bulkhead unit. That was last year, and we are going to replace it all. Oven will not maintain a constant temperature. We followed instructions for adjusting temps but it still will not fervidness to a set temp. The cook top, beeps, flashes every time you damp wipe the surface. Sometimes when you wipe it the childproof latch kicks in and then when you use it later, it's a struggle to figure out why the burners will not start. Two burners have heat zone sizes and only one of those still works after only two years. The microwave is practical only for heating water. It WILL NOT do popcorn! After several attempts, at various settings, I gave up. Now when I want popcorn I go out to the garage and use my old LG piece. We paid a lot for this junk and will not make the Whirlpool mistake again.

washer won't agitate or spin - Appliance Repair Forum
After using this site to find a problem I had with my washer not draining I removed the mangled popsicle stick from the drain pump inlet and put everything back together to discover the washer would now drain but not agitate or spin. I hear the switches cycling but no agitation. I might add that I heard a popping sound when I was moving the washer back into place but I didn't smell anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

It could be as simple as an interlock switch or possibly a magnetron that has failed. Since the display is working, each of the safety fuses are working, so now it's down to making sure voltage is getting to the high voltage section and then doing some diagnosing of the related components. This type of troubleshooting will require the unit to be removed from the wall and the cabinet removed to gain access to the related components. Some things to consider. This is not to difficult to diagnose, but the components can be hard to get to. Microwave ovens use very high voltages, some of which can still be present even when the oven is unplugged so it is very important to be comfortable using a multimeter and working around electricity. The high voltage capacitor must be discharged before attempting any work on the high voltage section. The likely failure is a magnetron which may be under a 5 year warranty so something to check on before turning any screws yourself. That kind of problem really needs a tech to look at it. If everything sounds normal, meaning the magnetron is growling, it could be just a diode. It's been my way to replace all 3 hi voltage components, mag/cap/diode, because 4000v runs thru that circuit and when one goes I wouldn't trust the other 2. It's not a fuse or tco(one shot thermostat) because the display would be dead. The first thing I would do is verify power from the main board to the transformer or inverter board, depending on which this model uses. If there is 120v to the inverter/transformer, you know you have a hi voltage problem.

Why has my Whirlpool microwave oven suddenly lost power?
Q: Our house is 7.5 years old and has been sitting a little over a year due to a foreclosure from previous owners. We have been living in it for approx 2 weeks. Today, out of the blue, I walk in the kitchen and look at the time and noticed that there wasn't one on the microwave. I checked the circuit breakers, no blown fuse there. I unplugged it and plugged the can opener into that receptacle and it powered on, so no problem there. I then plugged the microwave into a different receptacle and no power. What gives?
A: Usually a dead microwave is caused by a blown fuse inside the microwave.
