sphereI lady-love this range. I bought it to replace the 1950 model I had. I love the convection cooking. I didn't clear how bad my old stove was. My only complaint is the grab bars make perfect handle bars for worry, I have three and I am always telling someone to get off my stove!
The top being black also shows every crumb. But It is wonderful in every other way. My mother in law has a $7000 series and I wouldn't trade with her!
The through-and-through best!!
I delight my range! This is the best range I've ever used. It is wonderful in almost all ways. Having two ovens is terrific, first for holiday dinners, and the control of the different burners is wonderful. I love my convection oven, and the storage drawer is monumental. The only thing I wish is that the oven was bigger. It is large enough for most uses, but you can't cook a large take-home base pizza in it. Also, the side oven is narrow, so you have to remember to use narrow pans. I hardly notice these issues, but they are the only negatives I can of of. You will definitely enjoy this range!
Where is GE refrigerator freezer drain tube - Appliance Repair Forum
My side by side refrigerator/ freezer has an automatic icemaker and water dispenser. I have noticed a puddle of water under the freezer side and there is an accumulation of ice in the freezer bottom. I believe the drain tube may have a clog. Can you tell me where the drain tube empties out so that I may check for a clog. Any other suggestions would be welcome as i am trying to troubleshoot. The drain goes into a pan under the bottom. Normally it is not necessary to access the drain from the bottom just clean it out from the top. Remove all the ice then use a turkey baser to force hot water down the drain until water flows freely. You should see the drain hole in the back/bottom of the freezer once you remove all the ice. Hope this helps! Refrigerator repair guide

Please help-oven element change, before I burn the house down ...
I purchaced a replacement element for my very old(so old no parts place recognized the model #but I have the appliance manual in my hand so I KNOW it's the right #' and the # is stamped behind the hinge) oven, so I bought a similar(GE WB44X200 element) to my element, however it has a depth(space from mounting plate to electrical contacts) of 2.5 " whereas my original element depth is only approx. 1 inch. There is enough physical room behind the oven to the outer oven wall, and wire to mount the element, but I'm afraid that the excess lenth of element surrounded by the insulation (fiberglss I'm assuming) that it will catch fire (I forgot to mention this is a wall oven). Recall:Frigidaire and Kenmore Smoothtop Electric Ranges Due to ...
Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact Frigidaire at (800) 449-9812 between 8 a.m. and midnight ET Monday through Saturday or visit the firm’s recall Web site at www.smoothtoprangerecall.com . Consumers who purchased their products at Sears should call Sears at (800) 449-9810 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday.
I have the oven in the recall notice. A technician came to my home and installed the kit necessary to keep the moisture from the oven out of the controll portion of the stove thereby causing shorting of the controlls. Now there is no way for the moisture from the oven to escape except from the front of the oven. I roasted a very moist chicken on convection and moisture from the chicken continually ran down the front of my oven. It was a complete mess. The water mixed with grease ran down the oven door onto the floor of my kitchen. I called the repair company, they sent someone out to make sure that the repair was done correctly. They assured me that it was completed correctly and told me that I would have to live with the situation. They also told me that no one else had complained. I can only imagine what will happen at Thanksgiving.
Your model is not listed in the recall, but if you want to double check, you can use the contact info for Frigidaire at:

My range is part of this recall. The first scheduled appt was cancelled because the sears tech called and said some other company had to come and fix it, so I called again and was told that parts are back ordered and they don’t know when they will be available. Are Sears or Frigidaire offering any discounts to replace this range? I dont want to have the same problem as Helen whenever I use the oven. I would certainly consider purchasing a new range BEFORE I have a fire in my remodeled kitchen.

How do I find the model number on my Frigidaire range?
Q: I have looked inside the oven, as well as the broiler, and can't find a model name or number.
It's a fairly old model, so it's not currently on the manufacturer's website. Any ideas on how to figure out the details on this?
I found it. It's under the cooktop. Thanks for the help, everyone!
A: Go to repairclinic.com and follow their list of questions to narrow down your search. I use them all the time, very reliable and easy to use. You can identify problems and order the parts if you chose.
How do I install a Frigidaire Part 316489402?
Q: This is the oven ignitor for a frigidaire range
A: Remove the oven door(if possible) Remove the oven racks. Remove the floor of the oven. Remove the flame spreader Remove the oven burner and ignitor. NOTE: the ignitor should have a quick connect. The new part will NOT. You must use the wirenuts and old quick connect again. Can't get to the quick connect? Cut the wires at the base of the old ignitor. Put back everything in reverse order.
