Jenn-Air range hood - 600 CFM perimetric hoods | Appliancist

This new 32-inch wide Jenn-Air range hood offers modern European styling married to the powerful perimetric ventilation system with 600 CFM extraction rate. The result is sleek, unobtrusive wall hood that blends innovation and elegance with superb extraction results, and looks more like a decorative picture frame than a high performance hood. The JXP5032WS Jenn-Air range hood has thin, barely visible channels that are located on the perimeter of a glass finished panel, and extract unwanted smoke, steam and cooking odours by pulling air through. The perimetric panel comes with a contemporary design of black glass with stainless steel trim or white with white trim, so these range hoods can fit with both Jenn-Air Floating Glass and Euro-Style Stainless appliance suites.

Replace Cooktop on GE Range - Appliance Repair Forum
I would like to replace the white cooktop on my range with a black cooktop. AppParts Pros and GE has confirmed that the drop in part is available in black. In viewing the exploded diagrams, the exchange appears that it would be able to be done by a reasonably mechanically inclined person. I am also assuming that the radiant elements and their mounting bars are removable from one cooktop to be mounted on the other. I am also assuming that the hooks that support the cooktop at he back are reasonably easy to attach without extensive disassembly of the control panel. My questions are: 1. Is this job much more extensive than it appears? 2. What areas should I be particularly concerned during disassembly and re-assembly? 3. Are there small parts in addition to the cooktop that should be ordered at the same time because of likely damage during disassembly such as screws, spacers, etc.? In terms of my mechanical ability, I have replaced the eschuction (?) assembly on a GE Dishwasher. Interesting job, but everything works fine. Thank you. I will appreciate any advice that you can give me.

Faulty Touch Pad on Jenn Air Stove - Appliance Repair Forum
I have a JennAir stove with a faulty touch pad. The 3,6,9 buttons no longer work. I found a part on line known as the panel overlay. Is the problem likely to be corrected if I replace the panel overlay?....or do I need to replace the "clock" that contains all the circuit connections? I already tried removing/putting back the ribbon cable from the "ribbon connector" with no results.

I want to paint my Jenn Air range black. Is there a high temperature paint that is safe to use on ranges?
Q:
A: You want a really tough durable paint. And a bond that is really superior.
Here is how to achieve both of those objectives.
First get a sheet of 2000 grit wet/dry abrasive paper and using it wet go over the entire surface of the range area to be painted making sure the gloss is all gone.
Next, clean the area with paint thinner removing every trace of dust and dirt.
Next, Spray the entire area using a compressor and gun and use Automotive Base Coat in Black. Do not sand this leave as applied. Get a good coating on there. You might have to give it two coats.
Next, Spray the entire area using a compressor and gun with Automotive Clear Coat Polyurethane cut it with thinner to the specs on the can and apply DOUBLE the amount of paint hardner one would use on a car's finish.
Sand wet with 2000 grit paper Wipe it clean and give it another coat of the clear coat and hardner.
Final polish it out with a bit of polishing compound and you will have a rock hard surface that will be nearly indestructable and cost you no more than $40 to achieve.
I have done this and it is about the best finish for coating appliances ive ever used. And it is so tough and lasts.
You dont need any fancy gun to apply this, any compressor that puts out 35 psi is just fine, or any experience whatsoever.. Just get it on there and a run or two get those out with the 2000 grit and re coat.
Buy the BaseCoat and Clear Coat and Thinner at NAPA Automotive and the 2000 grit wet paper is about $1 there too. Or any reputable auto paint store.
I will guarantee you that if you put this finish on an appliance no one will be able to distinguish between this finish and a factory finish.
How do you remove the oven door on a Jenn Air Range?
Q: I want to remove the oven door on my 12 yr. old Jenn-air Range. It will not lift off.
What's the trick?
Opening the door to the first stop and lifting up doesn't work. I can pick up the entire range that way. Wiggling and shaking it doesn't work either.
The model number is S136W which doesn't show up on the jenn-air website.
A: Try the Jenn-air website. This link will get you to where the model # needs to be put in to get info on it.

Does anyone know of a differnt brand of stove knob that will fit a Jenn Air range?
Q: Okay, one knob is cracked - $18 for a new knob, and that's AFTER a discout!! A ridiculous price, probably because of the Jenn Air name.
They look like fairly standard knobs, though. Do you know if another knob would work? I thought maybe an appliance technician or repair person might know.
Thanks!
A: Hello Don:
Unless it is the oven knob, any stove knob will work. I picked up a four-pack of generic knobs at the big box hardware for under 10 bucks, and replaced the surface knobs on a Gen-Aire range a few years back. It even came with reversible dials to read clockwise or counterclockwise.
