KitchenAid Electric Range F2 error - Appliance Repair ForumI have a KitchenAid Electric Range Model #YKERC507EW2. Recently I had been roasting (convection) in the oven and after a while the range started beeping and the F2 error code appeared. The range then kept keeping and displaying the error for a while so I shut it off, let it cool for a while. While cooling, the temperature would suddenly appear on the display with the "start" flashing .. so I finally just unplugged it and left it for the night. Next day when I plugged it back in, tried to set the clock but when I select the time/clock button the "500 degree" temperature appears. This happens with the bake options and the convection roast .. Based on the Model # KERC507EWH2 .. I have located a part number for the oven temperature sensor -- AP3130719 .. could you please advise how difficult replacing this part would be.. i.e would you recommend a qualified repair peson or is it pretty straight forward .. my husband is pretty good at fixing things and has fixed our washer many times.. but has not had much experience in fixing stove/electric ranges. The goal is to replace the sensor first .. if the problem goes away .. then we're good to go.. otherwise we need to look at replacing the oven control panel (which unfortunately is quite costly) so we are trying to keep costs at minimum at first.. I am not even sure if we need to go to step 2 if it is even economincally feasible.????!!!! From the tech sheet I see that it says i"if F2 persists, replace the electronic control module". In my situation, the oven beeped and then F2 error displayed for a while until the oven cooled down. After that, F2 did not appear anymore. The problem was next day when I plugged it back in at first it would not allow me to set the "clock/tiime". When I selected that button on the display, it kept displaying a temperature "500 degrees". I left the oven again for another day, then unplugged and replugged it in. Then I was able to set the time,...
KitchenAid Gas Range KGSK901SSS00 Oven will not ignite ...We have a problem with a KitchenAid Gas Range oven failing to ignite (Model: KGSK901SSS00) We have replaced the Safety Check Valve, Spark Igniter, and Direct Spark Ignition Control Board. The oven is getting gas and you can hear the igniter click for a few seconds then it shuts off. Also, while installing the DSI Control Board, we noticed 2 thermal fuses behind the control panel. We did a continuity test on both of them and found one of them to be bad. We ordered a new thermal fuse. When we recieved the new fuse, we performed a continuity check on it before installing it and it failed to show continuity also. Is that normal or did we get a bad fuse? Kitchen aid supra range KGSC308LSSO - ApplianceBlog.com ...The stove in my new place had a door that opened almost to the floor because the hinge was bent. Eventually something that looks sort of like a bolt bulged out of the opening where the hinge is and it would no longer close. The repair service I had out today says that the entire door has to be replaced That the liner/roller is what is popped out and can't be fixed. I paid $116 for this news and then got a call today that it wil cost me $728!!! Door over $350 and liner $175ish plus labor. If they are two separate pieces, why do I have to purchase a new door? Why can't it be repaired with the new liner? Thanks for your reply. I called back and this is what they said: hinges=$307, liner=$107 shipping $33 and labor $281. So much more expensive than what you showed me. If I were to order the parts, any suggestions on how to find someone to put it together for me? They don't credit the $116 service call at all either. I was bringing a water and sugar and vinegar solution to a boil for a salad dressing when it boiled over. This isa new appliance so am hoping there is a remedy!! A: We use the special cleaner for smooth tops, which sounds like you've tried. My wife gobs the stuff on the stain, so it's covered with the cleaner and lets it sit overnight, and then scrapes it off. Hope it works for you.
