I have three Dometic RV refrigerators. All the controls for the gas and or electric work, but the refrigerators won;t cool. The boiler condensor all heat up, the evaporator does not change temperature. Typically I would turn these units upside down for awhile and then back and they would work. Question: Does NH3 have a live expectancy and can they be recharged?

Where can I view interior pictures of Amana french-door refrigerators?
Q: I am not going to buy such an expensive appliance without seeing the interior set-up! No one seems to have the Amanas on display in the stores, and even the Amana website only shows a partial interior view of one of the four available models. Based on reviews and Consumer Reports, I'm pretty sure I want the Amana ... I just don't think I'm asking too much to see it first!
I am located in Los Angeles, if you know of an appliance store that actually has these on display.

How do you change the light bulb in the door of an Amana refrigerator?
Q: I have a side by side Amana refrigerator with the ice and water dispenser in the door. How do you change the bulb?
A: If you look up at the top of the dispenser, you'll be able to see the light bulb. It's about the size of one of the large christmas lights. You can remove it without taking the dispenser apart.
What could be wrong with our Amana refrigerator?
Q: Our Amana refrigerator seems to be defrosting on it's own while on the highest setting and when you open the door, the facing is hot to the touch.
A: Sounds like the defroster "heater" is bad. There is a small "heater" in the wall of the refrig that senses the frost build up on the evap coil and this heater keeps the coil from "icing" up when this heater go's the unit keeps going into "defrost because as soon as the unit exits defrost the heater thinks it iced up again. Not only is this bad for the compressor it is VERY expensive, About 75 cents to defrost one time. Multiply that by 5--6 time a day times 30 days= $.. It's not a big deal to fix, most repair men have one in stock. It's "defrosting" so that eliminates the timer..The hot facing is the cabinet heater that comes on to stop outside condensation wile defrosting.. Nornmal...Goog luck
