No Pattern Required | Sunbeam Heritage Series Stand Mixer ...
Maybe I am totally behind on this one, but I was shocked this morning to see a retro Sunbeam Mixer at the local grocery store! That’s right, Sunbeam is bringing back the old mixer style and calling it the Heritage Series. I love it. Available for about $100, you could get your very own brand new “vintage” mixer like your grandma used to have.
This great mixer is available online direct from Sunbeam, but they also had it on the shelf at the local Walmart for $98. If I wasn’t so in love with my gorgeous Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, I would totally run out and get one of these.
Oh, and the Heritage Series also has a hand mixer and a coffee pot , too. Now all we need is the iron and the toaster….come on…just a few more!
Ruth I did already see this mixer and thought it was so totally cool! I was soooo happy they were briging out new appliances with the vintage look to them. I would have bought one, but I already have a vintage pink one from the 50s. Mike totally refurbished it for me and everything, so there is no way I can get a new one now. It even has the original pink bowls with it too. Hmmmmmm, can you tell I like pink??? Sable – do you have a Sunbeam Mixer?
Yes, I have my mother-in-law’s yellow Sunbeam stand mixer from the Fifties.
I also have her Sunbeam blender in yellow, the old heavy type with the glass pitcher.
My mixer came with clear glass bowls. Sara, you must send Ruth a photo of your mixer to post so that we can drooooooool over the pink!
Sara, you definately belong in a MCM ranch home! What with all of your pink kitchenware, your kitchen would be smashing!
Ruth, if I ever have to buy a new mixer, I so want a KitchenAid!
When are you and Tom leaving for Aruba? We’ll (me and Sara, et al) will miss you while you’re gone, but you guys need a vacation!
PS-I wish someone would put out an inexpensive retro look microwave.

Which Brand Of Stand Mixer Is Better Sunbeam Or Kitchenaid?
Same answer! Kitchen Aid. It comes down to the old phrase “you get what you pay for”. Kitchen Aid will last longer, need fewer or no repairs, and give the best performance. Until you have been beating a thick batter and your beaters are standing up in the batter with no assistance, you know your in trouble. when I first got mine, I was like how good can it be? The performance means better cakes, cookies, etc, with total ease of use. I love mine! Good Luck

Have any of you used a Sunbeam stand mixer instead of Kitchenaid?
Q: My last kitchenaid starting giving me shocks at it's not that old so I looked up a Sunbeam and it's about $100 cheaper and was just wondering if anyone has any reviews on the sunbeam stand mixer.
A: I got a Sunbeam upright heavy stand up mixer at an auction about 20 years ago. I use it frequently and never had a problem with it. I have to make cakes all the time for grandkids, mash potatoes, etc..
KitchenAid, Sunbeam....etc. stand mixer reviews?
Q: I am currently looking to buy a stand mixer. I have read mixed reviews of KitchenAid, Sunbeam, and a few others. Does anyone have any opinions on what is the best buy for the money?
By the way, I will mostly be using this to make thick buttercream icing, so it needs to be one that can handle that. Thanks
A: Kitchen aid is probably the most powerful, but is also the heaviest. We have a Sunbeam, new in 1970. I greased the gears about 10 years ago, but other than that, it still works the same as when we bought it. 1/3 the price of a Kitchen Aid.
What has been your experience with stand Mixers?
Q: I am thinking of buying my mom a stand mixer from target and I know for a fact that she really wants oe because when ever she sees her friend that has one, she tells me how she would love to have one. I would like to know what experience a person has had with a stand mixer? Do you think it is a good kitchen tool? Are you satisfied with the product? To be more specific I am looking at the stand mixers on target's website especially the brand sunbeam. What do you think?
A: My mom had a Sunbeam stand mixer all her life, the same one, and it worked very well. I have a kitchen aide that I like very well.
If she is going to use it mostly for baking she will not need one that comes with a lot of attachments.
They are nice because you don't have to hold it or turn it off as you add ingredients.
Make sure you get an extra bowl for it too, that comes in handy.
Multiple speeds are a good thing, the more the better.
Several different mixing tools are nice.
