I was pleasantly surprised. I love bamboo steamers, but have not found them to be especially well made. This one or rather these two are better than average and the utensils are a nice addition. (The cutting board was very cheaply made, but I really didn't need it as I have a number of them already.) I was pleasantly surprised with what I received for the money. I think the small steamer will be good for a single fellow.

This was a great deal, as opposed to buying just one, small bamboo steamer from other retailers. Most of the steamers I looked at were around $12-$30--for just a steamer alone. I looked at a 6"--or perhaps 8"--steamer for about $12 dollars from The Wok Shop. I love The Wok Shop, but their steamers are quite expensive. With this set, you get TWO steamers--one 8" and I believe one 11"--plus a medium-sized cutting board and some utensils, for a few dollars more. I highly recommend this, despite the ranting and raving from the last user. He/she was correct, however. These steamers do NOT come with instructions. If you are unsure of how to use them, do your homework first before you buy them. Otherwise, if you are like me and you have experience with these, this set is so great! It saved me quite a bit of money. Not only that, but it was delivered in an extremely prompt manner.

Large pasta insert and samll steamer basket by prime pacific. A wonderful 12 quart stock pot made of 18/0 stainless steel with a tempered glass vented lid. Teh stock pot with the deep pasta basket will be great to cook a variety of pasta in. You won't ened to carry the heavy pot to the sink for draining, just lift the pasta basket out. Also can be used to cook a large kettle of potatoes for mashed potatoes or to use for a really big bowl of potato salad. The steamer basket used with the stock pot will steam all kinds of vegetables. Last but not least, the 12 quart stock pot will be a favorite to make a large pot of chilli, soup, broth, etc. And i'm sure you will find numerous ways to make use of this 4 piece set. The set itself is pretty sturdy and looks good. However, the base pot is quite thin and it may wear after few uses; then again, if you are using just to boil water it may last well. Price for this set is good considering the good quality of the other items in the set except the base pot. So, it is acceptable even if it is not great!
I like this steamer for the price. The main pot is not heavy so I would not use it for making things that sit on the bottom of the pot like chili as it might burn . However for anything that will be boiling with lots of liquid, it will work great. An unexpected bonus was the little colander. It is perfect for small projects. I use that more that anything else,
Accordingly, I am returning this item. I think it's worth spending a little more to get something better.
