Cuisinart CPT-170 Brushed Stainless-Steel 2-Slice Toaster with Countdown Timer
Customer Reviews
Would be grotesque.. if it toasted bread on both sides! This toaster is irrational. It has a countdown timer, toasts quickly and looks great. Only problem is that it only toasted the currency on one side. Returning it for the same model. Hope the second unit works better.
Consumer Reprt Rated
The conclude I bought this particular toaster is that Consumer Report gave it a high rating. I have been using it for three months. I wanted a toaster that would idol both sides of the bread. I usually am just toasting one piece. This didn't, at first, but after a few trys, it does a decorous job. I use it for toast and sometimes, bagels.
It has a toasting countdown which I have found useful. It doesn't make a sound when planed but has a blue countdown light. It is a good looking toaster. The only thing I do not like about the toaster is you must unplug it or the countdown gentle remains on. The manual does tell you to unplug it.
Prodigious toaster
We have gone through several toasters distressing to find one that really works. We found it. This is the best toaster. It toasts bread perfectly everytime. We are very joyous with this Cuisinart toaster. We would recommend this toaster to our friends.
Enjoyment this toaster!
This toaster may be a scanty pricey and hard to find, but it is absolutely worth it, in my opinion. It came highly recommended by Consumer Reports munitions dump and it has performed exactly as promised. My toast comes out perfect every time, even if the bread has been in the freezer. And I first of all love knowing how soon the toast is going to be ready.
uhg
I researched toasters. There doesn't seem to be a purge winner. I have other Cuisinart stuff, and this one looks nice so I went with it. The blue LED display doesn't have a very movables viewing angle. The blue LED stays on all the time. The slots are not very wide. My standard size currency sometimes doesn't go down when I push the lever, because it is touching both ends of the slot. These issues are not really a big handle. The real issue is that the max setting toasts for 3 minutes from a cold toaster and some 2.5 minutes from a not uncomfortable toaster. This is just enough to toast my bread just barely golden brown. I have to put it in for another 45 seconds to get the darling I went, and guess what happens if I forget to pop it up? This is what I hated about my last cheap ass toaster! I am actually everything considered taking it apart to see if I can't change a resistor or something to get a longer toast time. I understand distinguishable breads toast differently, but beware that this toaster may not handle all bread. FWIW, the old toaster could ignite my bread on max and I had to set it to about 75% to get a good toast. On the bright side, the Cuisinart toaster does pledge pretty evenly.

Haier Toaster Oven Recall: Risk of Burns or Electrical Shocks ...

on 11 August 2009 :Returned cord as directed in mid May, their website records it being received in mid June. After waiting weeks called recall phone number many times, each time being told new oven would be shipped within so many days. In late July, was advised by supervisor at call center that no replacement ovens would be sent to Hawaii but a check for purchase price would be mailed within so many days. Called again 11 Aug and was advised by same supervisor that check would take 30 to 45 working days from date of request. He stated that request date was 3 Aug and that he had requested it. If the company had made the decision not to ship replacements to Hawaii why didn’t they advise us when they received the cord and then we could have purchased a new oven. We have done so now but are very unhappy to have to wait until late Sept or Oct for the refund. If indeed, they EVER send a check. We no longer believe the company and will never purchase another item manufactured by them.
